HOW TO GET A UK VISA
Student Visa is of two types. One is given when you need to go a short course (which means the course is of 6 months which can be extended up to 11 months) and are 18 years above, you will require a short course study visa. On the other hand, if you are going for a longer course you will need to apply for Tier 4 (child) Student visa (for 4-17 years) or Tier 4 (general) student visa (for 16 years and above).
You can apply for a visa 3-4 months before the course starts. You will need the following documents for a student Visa:
- Passport
- Photograph
- Unconditional offer that you have been selected from the university and evidenced by a 'Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies' (CAS) form from your course provider
- Score card of English language skill exam
- Proof of financial support (Bank statement/ letter from financial sponsor)
The student will also be asked to show his academic qualifications, and will be called for an interview. You will also be asked for medical tests and vaccination certificates.
